Here's the email we received from the Electoral Commission:
Subject: http://simon-bridges.co.nz/ website - alleged breach of section 204F of the Electoral Act 1993
"The Electoral Commission has received a complaint that the following website: http://simon-bridges.co.nz does not comply with section 204F of the Electoral Act 1993 because it is an election advertisement that does not contain a promoter statement.
An election advertisement is an advertisement in any medium that may reasonably be regarded as encouraging or persuading voters to:
Section 204F of the Electoral Act 1993 allows a person to publish or cause or permit to be published an election advertisement provided the promoter statement is included in the advertisement. Where an advertisement is published in a visual form, the promoter statement must be clearly displayed in the advertisement, for example 'Promoted or authorised by [name of promoter], [relevant street address]'.
The website does not appear to contain a promoter statement."
